Welcome to Durness Golf Club

If you have been on the North Coast 500, we lie right on this famous route 57 miles north west of Lairg; with the closest main airport south east of us at Inverness.
Designed by three local golf enthusiasts – Lachie Ross, Ian Morrison and Francis Keith – and opened in 1988, Durness Golf Club nestles on Scotland’s north coast and is Britain’s most north westerly golf course on the mainland. We are a 9 hole links, but with a second set of tees that provides a fine 18 hole experience, set against some of the most stunning landscape backdrops you will see in the golfing world.
EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS
If your idea of finding a golf course involves an adventure, remoteness, turquoise ocean & sandy beaches then Durness GC could well be the golf experience you have been looking for. Recently voted in 2020 by Golf Magazine USA – in its first ever World’s Top 50 / 9 Hole Courses (12th) and in Golf World UK’s Top 100 Courses 2021 in GB and Ireland (65th) – your unforgettable golf journey can now begin.

“The northern delights started at the Durness course, where Penn giggled at an opening hole that played like the first stage of an alpine ascent, with a fairway that might have come with carabiners… the closing par 3 over ocean spray to a green shelved atop black rocks was a stunning finisher, and making two there sent us down the coast from Durness at a gallop.”

Well done boys! 👏
Well dun boys. Sorry i missed it .. but ma back out
I am so sorry to jump on here but we are on holiday and the highlight for my two sons (aged 10, 14) is to play a round of golf with their Dad. I forgot to bring their golf clubs by mistake. Is there any way they could rent or borrow even just one or two sets for their tee off tomorrow at 11am? Sorry about this! Just in case
